Steve Harvey took time between commercial breaks during his talk show to give a mini-motivational speech for his audience.<\/p>\n

Harvey pointed out that his Floor Manager first started working at Magic Johnson\u2019s theater, sweeping floors in high school. Today, he\u2019s running the Steve Harvey Show.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour dream is free, the hustle is sold separately. And that\u2019s so true, you can never give up,\u201d Harvey said. “God wants us all to do the gift that He put in us.”<\/p>\n

Harvey went on to tell his audience about the importance of perseverance and refusing to let go of your dreams. Sometimes, you just have to take the leap of faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you jump, the parachute\u2019s not going to be open right away\u2026but it ain\u2019t going to open if you don\u2019t jump,\u201d Harvey said.<\/p>\n

In Harvey\u2019s book, \u201cJump: Take the Leap of Faith to Achieve Your Life of Abundance,\u201d he reveals the power of jumping \u2013 using imagination, faith and hard work to make our visions a reality. He also helps readers engage the Divine Spirit within themselves to find their life\u2019s desire and make their life\u2019s vision a reality. Faith, Harvey explains, can work miracles in our daily lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce you jump, God will take it from there. He will place you in positions to learn important lessons that will prepare you for the next stage of your life \u2013 your next jump,\u201d Harvey said. \u201cHe will also reward you with abundant blessings along your journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nobody knows this better than Harvey. He had to take multiple major jumps in his life before he could be in the place he\u2019s in today.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod gave me a vision for my life, and that was to be on television,\u201d Harvey said. \u201cIn order for me to get there, my journey included flunking out of college, being laid off from my job, being homeless for three years, going through two divorces, and owing the IRS tons of money because of horrible advice. In dealing with each one of these setbacks, I chose to jump.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Harvey, leaving a dead-end job to go on the road as a comedian wasn\u2019t about taking a blind risk; it was a leap necessary for him ultimately to live the abundant life God wanted for him. The only way for you to have an abundant life is to rise up off those cliffs and to keep jumping.<\/p>\n

Contrary to popular belief, you don\u2019t have to wait for the right time in order to achieve these dreams. We don\u2019t have to wait until our credit is together to jump. We don\u2019t have to wait until we\u2019ve lost ten pounds to jump. We don\u2019t have to wait until our children finish school to jump. The perfect time to jump is always now, Harvey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are always people lying in their graves who wished they\u2019d had just one more day to use the gifts they had,\u201d Harvey said. \u201cIf you\u2019re able-bodied and breathing, that means that God has more for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be afraid to fail or have setbacks in the process. Even if you try something for the first, second, third or even fourth time and it doesn\u2019t work out just how you planned it, you have to keep jumping. The beautiful part of all of this is that God allows for second chances every day.<\/p>\n

Harvey explains that there is abundant life waiting for all of us once we\u2019re ready to take that leap of faith \u2013 that career we\u2019ve been dream about, the house we\u2019ve always wanted, the doors of the business we\u2019ve always wanted \u2013 all of these things are on the other side of the jump. There\u2019s only one way you\u2019re going to get to the life God has envisioned for you.<\/p>\n
