In honor of the film’s 10th anniversary, here\u00a0are 10 of\u00a0our favorite\u00a0life lessons from “The Devil Wears Prada.”<\/p>\n

  1. Never show up to meetings unprepared. <\/strong>The one way to show your boss how little you care about your position is by not being present and prepared for important meetings.<\/li>\n
  2. Always know the important people in your field. <\/strong>Even if you just started the job \u2013 you always need to know the important people are in your workplace. Hold the elevator, say hello, and smile when you interact with them.<\/li>\n
  3. When things get hard, complaining gets you nowhere. <\/strong>No matter how draining, taxing or stressful your job may be it is never worth it to complain. Stick with it anyways! Work around the challenges and figure out a way to push through.<\/li>\n

  6. Don\u2019t make excuses. <\/strong>Your boss doesn\u2019t have time to worry about why you couldn\u2019t do something. Stay focused on your task and don\u2019t blame outside forces for your shortcomings.<\/li>\n
  7. Be proud of \u2013 and confident in – who you are. <\/strong>Your employer hired you for a reason. Make sure you showcase the best skills you have.<\/li>\n
  8. Men are not the only ones who can hold influential positions in the workplace.<\/strong> Women stand up\u00a0for your space in the workplace!<\/li>\n
