\"StevenSpielbergHarrisonFord\"<\/a>Fans are thrilled to hear that Indian Jones will be back in theaters in July 2019. Walt Disney Studios announced that the currently-untitled project will be directed by Steven Spielberg and star Harrison Ford once again.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history and we can\u2019t wait to bring him back to the screen,\u201d Disney chairman Alan Horn said at the press conference.<\/p>\n

The new film will come 11 years after its last installment. Spielberg and Ford teamed up for the first Indy movie in 1981 with \u201cRaiders of the Lost Ark.\u201d The franchise continued with \u201cTemple of Doom\u201d in 1984, followed by 1989\u2019s \u201cLast Crusade\u201d and 2008\u2019s \u201cKingdom of the Crystal Skull.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans are excited to hear that Harrison Ford will be returning, despite his age. Ford will be 77 years old when the film hits theaters in 2019. However, critics are already seeing potential for an older Indiana Jones. Critics believe if Spielberg and Ford embrace Indy\u2019s advance years rather than downplay them, they could create dramatic and rich material.<\/p>\n

The fifth Indian Jones film will be the first that does not include George Lucas\u2019 participation. Lucas and Spielberg came up with the series together while vacationing in Hawaii after the release of the first “Star Wars movie.” In 2012, Lucus sold Lucasfilm to Disney. After Lucus\u2019 peculiar direction with \u201cThe Kingdom of the Crystal Skull\u201d, fans believe the remaining team of Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford and producer Kathleen Kennedy will restore the series to its glory.<\/p>\n
