PSL returns this fall made from real pumpkins, not lab ingredients.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I was pretty disappointed to find that Starbucks\u2019 Pumpkin Spice Latte had no pumpkin in it. I mean, ‘Hello?’ So, I moved on, and spent money on a latte where I could accept my decision. I was not the only one. People complained that the drink had too many preservatives, and of course no pumpkin. The company was criticized by FoodBabe.com for the ingredients some with a\u00a0petroleum base, and GMOs, sparking many to bid farewell to\u00a0the fall love. A year later, Starbucks representative Peter Dukes released a statement on the updated version of the drink for fall\u00a02015.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter hearing from customers and partners about ingredients, we took another look at this beverage and why we created it so many years ago. It was simple – espresso, perfectly steamed milk, warm fall spices with delicious flavor of pumpkin pie that reminds you of the cool, crisp days of autumn. So, with that great taste you know and love, the PSL returns this fall, and this time it will be made with real pumpkin and without caramel coloring.\u201d However, the drink will still have some preservatives like Potassium Sorbate.<\/p>\n

Here are PSL\u2019s ingredients:<\/p>\n

  • Whipped Cream (Light Whipping Cream [Cream, Mono and Diglycerides, Carrageenan])<\/li>\n
  • Starbucks Vanilla Syrup (Sugar, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid)<\/li>\n
  • Pumpkin Spice Topping (Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Clove)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
