There’s a reason we can’t get enough of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.<\/em><\/p>\n

Just watching them perform\u00a0You Make It Feel Like Christmas<\/em> will melt the heart of any would-be divorce cynic.<\/p>\n

The light in Gwen Stefani’s smile could blind a billion love beleaguered souls with hope.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And me, the dedicated divorce columnist and advocate? I could not stop smiling throughout their entire yummy duet. If you haven’t had a chance to take a peek I am including the link below.<\/p>\n

There’s not only life after divorce there is<\/em> love.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even better? The possibility of a romance which could far outweigh the ones we once lost ourselves in.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I know what you are thinking. They are singers. They are celebrities. They are rock stars. Naturally, things turned out better for them. But nothing could be further from the truth. In divorce, there are no fancy titles. Jobs lose their importance and money can’t devour the pain.<\/p>\n

The glitz and glamour fade while the heart takes center stage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A mighty organ demanding its song be written, sung and heard.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

And the bright light of celebrity or any human being won’t shine until it is quieted.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

No spotlight makes suffering more glamorous.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nor does it make it easier. On the contrary, in many ways, it must make it harder. No one wants the world to see their wounds. Unless that is, you are a writer or songwriter.<\/p>\n

The type of person who somehow heals by exposing the raw underbelly of their lives.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And sets an example of hope and inspiration.<\/em><\/p>\n

Just like Gwen and Blake<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Hey, if it can happen for GB?!<\/b><\/p>\n

Then I am now waiting for my big Christmas storm, my present sent from God above, sweet gingerbread made with molasses…<\/em><\/p>\n

But until then…<\/p>\n

I’ll just watch these two cuties belt out the merry, merry.<\/em><\/p>\n

And restore the magic of\u00a0Christmas – or should I say love!<\/strong><\/p>\n
