I remember in the beginning of my divorce, my sister said, “You take care of yourself. You get your hair done and make the outside feel as good as possible since you are struggling on the inside.”<\/p>\n

It was excellent advice. <\/p>\n

My sisters have always said that I need a 12 step program for makeup. The same is true for skin care. <\/p>\n

There is barely a skin care product that I haven’t tried. I have learned many things over the years. <\/p>\n

1. Cost has nothing to do with it. The most expensive cream I purchased was the least effective and ironically, it’s one that all the celebrities rave about. <\/p>\n

2. It’s important to alternate skin care products just as one does shampoo.<\/p>\n

3. Hydration, hydration, hydration. Yes, wrinkle relief on top of that, but properly hydrated skin is a much better palette for topical wrinkle creams.<\/p>\n

4. The skin is the largest organ in the body. Take care of what is put on it and don’t just do the neck and face. Do all the way around the neck even in the back, do up and around the ears, and try using face cream on the hands. Use the evenings to intensely hydrate and the mornings for the one, lighter, hydrating cream by Clinique listed below.<\/p>\n
