When the Bon Ami starts to look like spilled flour, it’s time to go to bed.
\nA parting link, in case I don’t get back on before tomorrow night – a great new seder resource<\/a> put out by JOFA, the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (really!) with wonderfully creative activities for the seder that are rooted in text and tradition, but suitable for families of any, or no, denomination.
\nAnd a few random parting thoughts. I love bedikat chametz. It may be the ritual my non-Jewish husband is most comfortable participating in (though he also builds a mean sukkah.) Tonight he hid the pizza crust and gave the girls clues to help them find all the ones that they couldn’t see (mostly because they were 2 feet above their heads.) Oh, and after that I sold him all my chametz.
\nIt’s my husband’s birthday on Sunday, poor guy, so we celebrated early. I bought him a carrot cake at the coop and a home-beer-brewing kit, which my family-of-origin chipped in on. When he called everyone to say thank you, he enjoyed describing to them that I gave him the gift and promptly made him put it in the basement until after Passover.
\nI’m so tired I don’t make sense anymore.
