And it was kind of&#8230;.great. Our first good move was not arriving until 11am, exactly when Tot Shabbat begins. And forget everything I said about starting to outgrow tot programs; it was pitch perfect for both my girls -puppets, songs, dancing, a story, many familiar faces, and under an hour from start to finish. We entered the main sanctuary just in time for the girls to go up on the bimah and help lead Adon Olam. And then&#8230;..kiddush. Nothing fancy, but Mom didn&#8217;t have to cook or clean, we ate with friends, enjoyed a spring-like day on the playground, and brought another little girl home for an afternoon playdate. Almost exactly what I imagined Shabbat might be when we had kids.<br \/>\nIf our shul had something like this every week, I might have to change the name of my blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 not our actual shul Today we went to shul.
