\"Jodi<\/a>Yes. It\u2019s easy to look to another for the answers. It\u2019s easy to look outside of yourself for the way forward. It\u2019s easy to ask and plead and beg for someone to tell you what to do, or how to live, or where to go. It\u2019s so easy to put all of your power in someone else\u2019s hands \u2013 to turn your life over to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s so easy to assume that you don\u2019t know what to do or how to move forward or where to go or what to feel.<\/p>\n

It’s easy to assume that the gurus must know it better than you. It’s easy to believe that they have studied such and such for many years and they have taught it for eons and eons and they have lived it for longer than you can even imagine.<\/p>\n

So it\u2019s easy to turn to them and ask them to guide you and lead you on your path. It\u2019s easy to think that they will know exactly what to do with your life and your heart.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy. And it makes sense.<\/p>\n

But here\u2019s the thing: no one \u2013 absolutely no one \u2013 knows your soul better than you do.<\/strong> No one \u2013 absolutely no one \u2013 can listen to your soul the way you can. No one \u2013 absolutely no one \u2013 can feel its presence and hear its whispers better than you. And no one \u2013 absolutely no one \u2013 can know what you know.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m talking about the deep knowing \u2013 the inner wisdom that we all have about ourselves. I\u2019m talking about the seat of the soul kind of knowing \u2013 the grounded in all that is<\/em> kind of truth that resides within each and every one of us.<\/p>\n

While a spiritual teacher can help you uncover what\u2019s piled on top of your innate wisdom, you have to be the one to hear it. While a guru can offer tips on how you can create a beautifully rich and spiritual life, their words won\u2019t mean anything unless you take action and create your own practice that feels right within your soul. While everyone that you come across can offer advice as to how you should go about living your life, you are the only one who has direct access to your soul. You are the only one who can go within and pull out the answers that are exactly right for you. You are the only one who is one with your soul. Just you.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

So yes, it\u2019s easy to look outside of ourselves for the answers. And yes, it\u2019s easy to try to glean these answers from others rather than having to quiet ourselves and be still and take the time to go within and hear our own wisdom.<\/p>\n

But once you get into the practice of it, I think you\u2019ll find that it\u2019s pretty easy to listen to your own voice, too. And not only is it easy, it\u2019s empowering and freeing and life embracing and love inducing and everything that you could ever hope it would be. Because you are getting to the heart of you. And that\u2019s such a special space to go to. We all have access to this space, and we can all benefit so much from spending time there.<\/p>\n

The answers have always been inside of you.<\/strong> And so rather than looking outward, I would love for each of us to spend some time today (and beyond) looking inward instead. Asking our soul what it wants us to know, and then paying attention to its whispers. I promise it will be worthwhile. Our souls are so wise. We are so wise.<\/p>\n
