\"power<\/a>I had a very unsettling dream last night.<\/strong> Robbers had surrounded my home and were looking in my windows. Everywhere I looked, I could see them. I felt like a prisoner. I tried calling the police, but my phone was dead. I was trapped. And I was powerless. I woke up before I saw how it ended, but it\u2019s stayed with me all morning.<\/p>\n

And, because I believe that dreams are messages from our souls, I started to think about what my soul was trying to tell me with this one.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

While I don\u2019t literally have robbers surrounding my home and staring through my windows (thankfully!), I started to wonder what robbers represent to me and how this metaphor could apply to my life in this moment.<\/p>\n

Robbers take. They steal. They rob you of your power. They leave you feeling completely helpless.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And so I began to look at my life and identify how I was feeling helpless \u2013 in what areas had I given my power away.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I realized that the robbers represented various parts of myself that have moved away from my soul\u2019s purpose \u2013 the lower vibrational aspects of my psyche such as fear, fatigue, my addiction to work, my disconnection from my soul, and my scattered thoughts. These metaphorical robbers have been surrounding me \u2013 swarming around me and making it feel impossible to be free \u2013 to feel empowered. They have been robbing me of my joy and my energy and my vibrancy. They have been robbing me of my life.<\/p>\n

But, like in the dream, I now see how I actually do have power over these so-called robbers. In the dream, I never found out how it ended because I woke up. And I think this is such a powerful way to deal with these metaphorical robbers, too. I can choose to wake up \u2013 to be conscious, to stay present. I can choose to remain aware of how I am living my life and how I am choosing to engage with my soul and my world.<\/p>\n

Because the robbers can\u2019t exist in my awakened state. <\/strong>They quickly disappear, which is such a relief.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re so powerful \u2013 each and every one of us. And we have the ability to create a life that is filled with love and joy. We do.<\/p>\n

If we\u2019re feeling that we\u2019re somehow being robbed of living this way, we can wake up and consciously change it.<\/p>\n

It feels so empowering to know how to chase the robbers away \u2013 both in my dreams and also in my life. Just wake up. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
