We all know that we\u2019re \u201csupposed\u201d to practice self care. And we\u2019ve all heard the oxygen mask example in relation to self care. (How if you\u2019re travelling with a small child and there is a problem with the airplane\u2019s cabin pressure that you\u2019re supposed to put on your oxygen mask first. Because if you aren\u2019t breathing, you aren\u2019t going to be much help to your kids.)<\/p>\n<p>So we know that self care is important. We know that it\u2019s a practice we should get into the habit of. We know that we\u2019ll feel more whole and energized if we do it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But what does self care look like exactly?<\/strong> Because we\u2019re all so different, your idea of self care is most likely very different than mine.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m a huge believer in defining our vision for ourselves and our lives and then moving toward making that vision reality. With that in mind, I would love for all of us to take a few minutes right now and define what self care means to us. I would love for us to create a vision of what our life looks like when we\u2019re taking care of ourselves each day.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll share my vision here, and then I would love for you to share either all or part of your vision in the comments below!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Self Care Looks Like for Me:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I get plenty of restful sleep.<\/li>\n<li>I make space in my life for simply being.<\/li>\n<li>I honor wherever I am \u2013 emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually.<\/li>\n<li>I do at least one thing every single day that\u2019s just for me.<\/li>\n<li>I get hugs from my sweetie.
