We love it. And the wonderful thing is that the soup is extremely simple to prepare. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what you need to make this Chinese-styled Black Bean Soup: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>black beans \u2013 150g (for a thicker soup, add more beans)\n<li>red dates \u2013 5 pieces\n<li>wolfberries \u2013 1 tablespoon\n<li>lean meat \u2013 150g\n<li>water \u2013 3 litres<\/ul>\n<p>And here\u2019s how to prepare the soup: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>soak the black beans overnight to soften them, so that they are more easily cooked\n<li>bring the water to a boil in a stainless steel pot or claypot\n<li>once the water boils, reduced the fire on the stove to a small flame\n<li>pour the black beans, red dates, wolfberries and lean meat into the boiling water, and allow it to simmer for 1 to 2 hours.\n<ul>\n<p>And finally, more reasons to try out this soup: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>benefits of black beans<\/b>: low in fat, high in proteins, fibre and complex carbohydrates; nourishes the blood; improves sleep; improves eyesight; can help with night sweating, ringing in the ears and backaches; lowers cholesterol; keep blood sugar levels steady; rich in antioxidants, vitamin B6, folate and magnesium\n<li><b>benefits of red dates<\/b>: nourishes the blood; improves sleep; replenishes Qi; strengthens the digestive system; helps reduce toxins from the body; is alkalizing; rich in fiber, antioxidants, B vitamins\n<li><b>benefits of wolfberries<\/b> improves eyesight; rich in antioxidants and has anti-aging and anti-cancer effects; promote healthy-looking skin<\/ul>\n<p>Give the soup a try, and let me know if you like it. : )<\/p>\n<p>References<br \/>\n1.
