This is an ode\u00a0to the good man, the brave man, the man we all want to be, the man we want in our lives.<\/p>\n

These are the men I look up to with admiration and respect – the men who remind me of the man I want to be:<\/p>\n

Men who care about others.<\/p>\n

Men able to be strong yet also kind and compassionate.<\/p>\n

Men who hold up banners at peace rallies.<\/p>\n

Men who go after what they want.<\/p>\n

Humble men not captivated by their egos.<\/p>\n

Men not threatened by the success of others.<\/p>\n

Heroic men.<\/p>\n

Men who sing.<\/p>\n

Men unafraid to cry or show their feelings.<\/p>\n

Men who dance like nobody’s watching.<\/p>\n

Men willing to surf the waves without losing their smile.<\/p>\n

Men willing to sweat all day.<\/p>\n

Men who are devoted to being the best husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, lovers.<\/p>\n

Men who give selflessly and get pleasure from giving.<\/p>\n

Men who choose women who challenge them.<\/p>\n

Grown up men who can look defeat in the face and not lose perspective.<\/p>\n

Men who are truly present with their loved ones.<\/p>\n

Men who get pleasure from supporting powerful women.<\/p>\n

Men who know their purpose.<\/p>\n

Men who weed the lawn, change diapers, and are not freaked out by menstruation or pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Men with someone to love and something to hope for.<\/p>\n

Men who know that their most precious possession is a woman’s heart.<\/p>\n

Men who see the world through the eyes of kindness.<\/p>\n

Men who love children.<\/p>\n

Men who love puppies.<\/p>\n

Men not afraid to be themselves.<\/p>\n

Men with open hearts.<\/p>\n

Courageous men.<\/p>\n

Men who live with open hearts.<\/p>\n

Men who unashamedly embrace facial hair and other manly characteristics.<\/p>\n

Grounded men.<\/p>\n

Men who honour themselves and choose to spend time with women consciously.<\/p>\n

Men with healthy boundaries.<\/p>\n

Men who know their worth.<\/p>\n

Men who let women go who don’t honour and support them.<\/p>\n

Men who love unconditionally.<\/p>\n

Men who wear army boots.<\/p>\n

Men who swim naked.<\/p>\n

Men who stand up for their rights and know their worth.<\/p>\n

Men who fiercely protect their women.<\/p>\n

Men with a soft side.<\/p>\n

Men who embrace their feminine side with an open heart.<\/p>\n

Men who are free like birds.<\/p>\n

Shy men.<\/p>\n

Wild men.<\/p>\n

Nomadic men.<\/p>\n

Men who don’t live through their penis, rather live consciously and respect women.<\/p>\n

Men who open doors for women.<\/p>\n

Men who live and love passionately.<\/p>\n

Men who can say “no” without flinching.<\/p>\n

Men who don’t give a damn.<\/p>\n

Men who stand up for what is right, and defend it with all their heart and soul.<\/p>\n

Men who stand up for what is wrong with equal fervour.<\/p>\n

Ambitious men.<\/p>\n

Resilient men.<\/p>\n

Men who ignore society pressure and social norms.<\/p>\n

Men who throw caution to the wind.<\/p>\n

Men who throw out social conditioning if it no longer serves their soul calling.<\/p>\n

Men who ignore titles.<\/p>\n

Men with big titles.<\/p>\n

Men with conviction and substance who refuse to speak ill of others.<\/p>\n

Men who appreciate the value of time:<\/p>\n

Men who get up in the morning with a goal in mind.<\/p>\n

Men who get away with everything.<\/p>\n

Men with impeccable standards.<\/p>\n

Responsible men.<\/p>\n

Driven men.<\/p>\n

A man who can\u2019t be bought or bullied.<\/p>\n

A man open to reason, yet not too logical that he loses his capacity for compassion.<\/p>\n

Men who prove their ability.<\/p>\n

Men who love wildly in the bedroom.<\/p>\n

Men who love wildly outside the bedroom.<\/p>\n

Tender men.<\/p>\n

Men never too busy for love.<\/p>\n

Men with a sense of duty and moral obligation, in spite of personal circumstances.<\/p>\n

Men aware of consequences.<\/p>\n

Men who live in the moment.<\/p>\n

Wise men.<\/p>\n

Virtuous men.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These are the qualities in a man I want for myself.<\/p>\n

These are the type of men I want around. I want to hear from these men.<\/p>\n
