Respect \u2013 The Key To Life<\/span><\/h2>\n

Respect means no interruption.<\/span>
\nRespect means no confrontation.<\/span>
\nRespect means no accusation.<\/span>
\nRespect means no \u201cmocking,\u201d <\/span>
\nEspecially, no mocking of elders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect means no lies between us.<\/span>
\nRespect means no betrayal of confidence.<\/span>
\nRespect means no \u201cripping off.\u201d<\/span>
\nRespect means no hording.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect means no \u201cLording it over\u201d someone.<\/span>
\nRespect means no ordering around.<\/span>
\nRespect means no yelling in anger.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect means no bad language.<\/span>
\nRespect means no name calling.<\/span>
\nRespect means controlling yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect is not a commodity. <\/span>
\nRespect is a way of being.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect is in our chest not in our hand. <\/span>
\nRespect is for all of life. <\/span>
\nRespect is for every species in the world, including all four races. <\/span>
\nRespect is for all our relations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect is focusing on and dealing in \u201cissues\u201d and not \u201cpersonalisms.\u201d<\/span>
\nRespect is focusing on \u201cwhat\u201d is right rather than \u201cwho\u201d is right.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect means owning our own negativity and not being a \u201cBlame Shifter.\u201d \u00a0<\/span>A \u201cBlame Shifter\u201d is one who projects or shifts his own negativity onto someone else.\u00a0 <\/span>This is the process of bigotry, war, and genocide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect is keeping the lines of communication open with those who have a different opinion,
\nand making a sincere attempt to let them be heard and understood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect means listening until everyone has been heard and understood, only then is there a possibility for \u201cBalance and Harmony,\u201d the goal of Indian spirituality.<\/span>
\n
\nThe Indian prayer, \u201cAll My Relations\u201d is a prayer of Respect for the Hoop of Life.\u00a0 Almost everyone believes Respect is a good thing but few people have a clear idea of what Respect means or what Respect looks like.<\/span><\/p>\n
