Today we are facing many powerful challenges that greatly affect our lives and well being including the world economy, unemployment, global warming, food and water, education and health.<\/span><\/p>\n

The world and our county needs leadership with vision, honesty, integrity and compassion.\u00a0 <\/span>Our political process must transform into a system that works for the good of all people.\u00a0 Our current level of success is clearly demonstrated by the state of our individuals and families, our economy, health care, unemployment and school system.\u00a0 We can do better!
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Money, greed and power controls our government and economy.<\/span>\u00a0 It\u2019s time for a change and key leadership is vital to guide and empower this change.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the book, \u201cKeep Going, The Art of Perseverance,\u201d<\/em> Joseph Marshall III shares a great example of leadership:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the old days our people had a unique way of selecting leaders.\u00a0 They preferred men of experience.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t unusual for them to approach a man and ask him to lead.\u00a0 Today we elect people who promise us they will do something.\u00a0 Those who promise the most are often the ones who really haven\u2019t accomplished much to begin with.\u00a0 I prefer the old days.\u00a0 Back then you knew what a man was likely to do because of what he had already done, or been through.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Adversity has much to teach us.\u00a0 Facing the wind and the cold and the darkness brought by the storms of life is never easy, but it is necessary.\u00a0 A true leader has faced the difficulties that life has thrown in his path.\u00a0 Strength that comes from adversity does not weaken in the face of adversity.\u201d<\/em>
