{"id":191,"date":"2011-03-18T00:00:01","date_gmt":"2011-03-18T00:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/haveamagnificentday\/2011\/03\/fable-of-the-porcupine.html"},"modified":"2011-11-27T23:20:33","modified_gmt":"2011-11-28T04:20:33","slug":"fable-of-the-porcupine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/haveamagnificentday\/2011\/03\/fable-of-the-porcupine.html","title":{"rendered":"Fable of the Porcupine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">from a friend&#8230;..<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>It was the coldest winter ever.\u00a0 Many animals died because of the cold. <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080\"> <strong>The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080\"> <strong>This way they covered and protected themselves, but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions.\u00a0 <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"> <strong>So, they had to make a choice: accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth.\u00a0 Wisely, they decided to get back together and work it out.\u00a0 They learned to live with the little wounds caused by their close relationship in order to stay warm and survive.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"> <strong>Moral of the Story: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"> <strong>The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person&#8217;s good qualities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">We must learn to accept each other and to live together.\u00a0 By following proper principles and The Natural Laws we can all share this planet&#8217;s natural resources and abundance.\u00a0 We must find the most appropriate and beneficial ways to live in accordance with nature and the earth, not at the expense of each other or our planet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">Kindness, gentleness and compassion&#8230;&#8230;..<strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\">smiles,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080\"> \ud83d\ude42 Lee<em><br \/>\nThe Mega Coach<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>from a friend&#8230;..
