\"Around<\/a>One day a farmer\u2019s donkey fell down into a well.\u00a0 <\/span>The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.\u00a0 <\/span>Finally he decided the animal was old, the well needed to be covered up anyway and it just wasn\u2019t worth it to retrieve the donkey.<\/span><\/p>\n

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.\u00a0 <\/span>They each grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.\u00a0 <\/span>At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.\u00a0 <\/span>Then, to everyone\u2019s amazement, he quieted down.\u00a0 <\/span>A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well, <\/span>and was astonished at what he saw.<\/span><\/p>\n

As every shovel of dirt hit his back, the donkey did something amazing.\u00a0 <\/span>He would shake it off and take a step up.\u00a0 <\/span>As the farmer\u2019s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, <\/span>he would shake it off and take a step up.\u00a0 <\/span>Pretty soon, everyone was amazed, as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off.<\/span>

\nThe Moral:<\/span>
\nLife is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.<\/span>
\nThe trick is to shake it off and take a step up.<\/span>
\nEach of our troubles is a stepping-stone.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can get out of the deepest wells by not stopping and never giving up!<\/span><\/p>\n
