In addition to the Gospel category, which is loaded with familiar names (complete list at the end of the post), some Christian artists make appearances in other categories &#8211; and amen for that!<br \/>\n<span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"TheFray.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/118\/import\/TheFray.jpg\" width=\"174\" height=\"174\" class=\"mt-image-right\" style=\"float: right;margin: 0 0 20px 20px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/gospelsoundcheck\/2009\/01\/the-fray-releases-sophomore-al.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Fray&#8217;s sophomore release<\/a>, an album on which the band was very open about their faith, scored Grammy nominations for  Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for the song &#8220;Never Say Never&#8221; as well as Best Pop Vocal Album.<\/li>\n<li>Robert Randolph &amp; The Clark Sisters scored a nomination for Best R&amp;B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals with their song, &#8220;Higher Ground&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>R&amp;B artist <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/gospelsoundcheck\/2009\/09\/gospelrb-artist-tonex-opens-up.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tonex, who caused a stir a few months ago with his very candid interview about his sexual orientation, <\/a>was nominated for Best Urban\/Alternative Performance for the song &#8220;Blend.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>And Jim Brickman, hardly hidden in the Christian music genre, was nominated for Best New Age Album for his latest release, <em>Faith.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Here is the complete list of nominations in the Gospel categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Best Gospel Performance <\/strong><br \/>\n(For solo, duo, group as collaborative performances.
