\nProduced by award-winning Aaron Sprinkle, the album is a perfect blend of alternative pop and assertive modern rock.
\nCapital Lights started out as a Tulsa, OK acclaimed screamo act named afterEIGHT, but fortunately for us came to their senses in favor of heartfelt musical expressions and relatable lyrics.
\nThe album starts off in high gear with the first single, “Outrage,” a high energy pop\/punk song and doesn’t take a breath until the last song. In between, you’ll find a pop beats on “Mile Away” and “Kick It Off,” more aggressive modern rock with “Work It Out” and “Let the Little Lady Talk,” and more power pop\/punk with “The Night Of Your Life Is When You’ll Die,” which reminds me of Relient K.
\nI love the lyrics on “Return;” they were able to pen a song about the gospel and the return of Christ that’s more poetic rock anthem than preachy sermon.
\nThe band is currently on their own “Onstage Outrage Tour” with guests Keissier, A Rotterdam November, and Bidwell. Capital Lights will also be a part of the very first “Creation Festival: The Tour” with Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, KJ-52, Fireflight, Worth Dying For, RunKidRun and Esterlyn.
