Grammy-nominated Sarah Kelly knows a thing or two about being on the road. With the success of her albums Take Me Away <\/em>and Where The Past Meets Today<\/em>, she’s on the road a lot,<\/em> averaging 150-200 tour dates a year.
\nSarah says, “The best part about leaving home is coming home…and while I love my adventures on the road, I love coming home to my husband and dogs even more! Every time I get home my hubby gets excited because he knows what Monday is….Sarah coming home stir fry day! It’s not sooooo bad for you…but not like a smoothie either. In my house my husband is like a very skinny eating machine and I have to give him calories, even though that means I must control my portions with much scrutiny!”
\nHere is Sarah’s favorite stir fry recipe:<\/p>\n


\nI Just Got Home From The Road Stirfry<\/strong>
\nfrom Sarah Kelley
\nFirst I put a tablespoon or so of olive oil in the pan and then add an egg or 2…
\nThen I add fresh mushrooms and broccoli (add whatever you like…) and cook for 2 or 3 min on high…
\nadd a little more oil….then add peeled and deveined shrimp…
\nLet this cook for about 6 min or so on high…stirring every minute…flipping the shrimp
\nAdd about 2 cups of fully cooked white rice to the mixture
\nthen pour 1\/8 cup of soy sauce and a 1\/8 cup of teriyaki sauce to the mixture and stir throughly..
\nfry for about 5 more min…
\nYum!! Best part is that it only takes about a half hour total prep\/cook time!<\/p>\n

Take Me Away<\/em>, Sarah Kelly’s 2004 Gotee Records’ debut, merited the singer-songwriter a bevy of attention from fans as well as industry, who gave her a GRAMMY nod in the “Best Rock Gospel Album” category. The album nabbed the #12 spot on the “Top Christian Albums” Soundscan chart first week out by selling more than 4,100 units, securing her as the highest new artist debut in the 10-year history of the Gotee label. The single “Take Me Way” also landed a No. 6 spot on the CHR radio charts. In 2005, the national retail store Guitar Center added Kelly’s image to the “World’s Largest Outdoor Photo Exhibit,” a gallery found on the outside of 140 Guitar Center stores all around the country. Kelly’s last album, Where The Past Meets Today<\/em>, sold nearly 5,000 albums first week out, landing at #2 on Sound Scan’s Christian album chart, and merited yet another GRAMMY nomination. She also made a guest appearance on Rick Dee’s Top 40 Countdown syndicated radio show. Averaging 150-200 tour dates a year, Kelly has shared the stage with acts including Jars of Clay, Everyday Sunday, and Paul Wright.
