\"RobertPierre.jpg\"<\/span>During the holiday season, 16-year-old Robert Pierre teamed up with Family Christian Stores to give away a special pre-release of his upcoming album Identity <\/em>when shoppers made a donation to the James Fund. The charity that helps widows and orphans both locally and worldwide.
\nThe numbers are in, and 100,000 CDs were given away, raising more than $800,000.<\/p>\n


\n“I can’t tell you how cool it’s been to play a small part in raising money for widows and orphans,” says Pierre in a press release. “You know, my Grandma’s a widow and I have three cousins who have been adopted from an orphanage (and a fourth on the way!), so being able to work with the James Fund was not only a privilege but also personal to me in a way. It’s a real honor that my music could be used for something so important. It really is far better to give than it is to get!”
\nRobert Pierre’s retail version of his new CD Identity <\/em>will be in stores on April 28, 2009, and will include three new tracks. Whether your kids check him out because he’s a cutie or because the album offers mature music that doesn’t insult the teen intelligence, you’ll want to give the new album a spin.
