On night two of “The X Factor” auditions, contestant Dexter Haygood told the story of how he used to play in a band in the 80s that toured with Hall and Oates, but that now he’s living “couch to couch”, his only possessions his car and the clothes he needs to perform.<\/p>\n

A quick search on YouTube.com found some video from Haygood’s former band, Xavion.<\/p>\n

I’m glad Haygood is getting the chance to move on to the next round. No only does he get a second chance at fame, he’s got experience and life lessons to share with the younger contestants.<\/p>\n
