<\/embed>Hopefully, you caught the webisodes of the show “Jesus People” that I posted last week<\/a>. The web series satires a Christian dance pop group, from their beginnings to success, complete with the Christianese and secret lives of believers.The comedic formula is often described as “truth + pain or exaggeration = funny,” and in this case the folks at “Jesus People” nailed it.Now the show’s creators Dan Ewald and Rajeev Sigamoney are set to do a full length film, which is expected to make the festival circuit early next year.Marc Hustvedt at Tubefilter.com <\/a>did a great story on the creators and the show. It should come as no surprise that the filmmakers have a background in the Christian subculture. Hustvedt says Ewals grew up Baptist in a tight-knit religious family and Sigamoney was raised Seventh-day Adventist in an Indian-American community. Ewald also worked as a journalist in Christian publishing, penning hundreds of articles on Christian rock bands. No doubt that inside info helped shaped the series band, Cross My Heart.
