Japan. <\/b>Japan Assures Rice That It Has No Nuclear Intentions<\/a> \u2013 <\/b><\/strong>\u201c<\/b><\/strong>Japan assured Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday that it had no intention of pursuing a nuclear weapons program, despite\u2019s North Korea\u2019s detonation of a nuclear device and suggestions by some political leaders here that the Japanese should discuss whether the nation should acquire nuclear arms.\u201d<\/p>\n
