\nas a fairytale and also state that many of the Christmas traditions like
\nchoosing Dec 25 and decorating trees was stolen from the pagans.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nan atheist could be self deluded enough to believe insulting a religion they
\ndon’t believe in by sticking up for a religion they don’t believe in could be
\nconsidered rational. Reason after all is the god of the atheist and so I
\nsuppose they do have more in common with the pagan since they both worship
\ncreation instead of the creator. The last sentence of the diatribe is as
\nfollows; “Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and
\nenslaves minds”.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nmake it a point to attack “religion”, wait, ok so who am I kidding? I’ll
\nre-phrase. They make it a point to attack Christianity<\/i>
\nbecause it’s more dangerous than the other religions? No. It’s much more
\npragmatic than that. They know what would happen if they tried this with
\nMuslims. Apparently atheists and theists agree on one thing, that it’s easier
\nto debate when you have a head. <\/span><\/p>\n
\ntimes like this that my faiths dictums become truly intrusive especially the
\n“love your enemy” command. C’mon God, are you sure you didn’t mean beat the
\ncrap out of your enemy and then repent?<\/span><\/p>\n
\nmean atheists have been emboldened in recent years not to debate the tribe but
\ninstead to insult, malign, attack, disparage and crap on those of us who hold
\nto traditional Christian worldview. During Christmas season what used to be a
\ncolorful festive time of year that brought a spirit of giving and goodwill to
\nall Americans has been transformed in to a battle for culture and what we’re
\nleft to show for it, if atheists win, is drab lifeless December. Nothing
\nbeautiful and awe inspiring ever came from an atheist worldview. If religion is
\na banquet of hope, atheism is Tofu injected Spam.<\/span><\/p>\n
\ngo ahead and take away the communal spirit of Christmas that at least gave
\nAmericans some concept to unite around regardless of religious belief! But what
\nare you going to replace it with? What exactly does your enlightened point of
\nview leave us Americans as a legacy? You demand our government respect and
\nacknowledge your faith in nothingness and yet the only time history has ever
\nseen atheism rule it ended in over 200,000,000 deaths at the hands of Stalin,
\nMao, Pol Pot, and our North Korean gnome Kim Jong il; All that by the way in
\nunder a hundred years.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nwould an atheist Christmas look like anyway? A consistent atheist December
\nwould ban all lighting displays I suppose since red and green in December are
\nconsidered Christmas colors and would be offensive to the ignored mauve and
\nteal. Black bulbs would be the atheist display because it encompasses all
\ncolors and that would be their inclusive gift to us.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nalready have removed trees and nativities but Santa should be out too and
\nshould be fought with the same vigor since he is the only<\/i> fictional character of the season we can prove<\/i> doesn’t exist. I’ll let you guys break it to the kids. Tinsel
\nisn’t biodegradable so nix it because the worship of earth takes precedent to
\neverything else. Earth is all we get till we die so it ends up being the atheist’s
\nnirvana.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nis it? How pathetic is that? Yet to eliminate Christmas as we have celebrated
\nit as a nation since it became a national holiday in 1870 leaves us with what every
\natheistic idea does…nothing. Their hatred and bigotry toward God and Christians
\nin general removes even the sentiment of “peace on earth, goodwill toward men”
\nand leaves instead the sediment of an open sewer that poisons anything pure
\nthat gets in its way.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nconsider themselves the enlightened ones by plunging humanity into narcissistic
\ndarkness where even the sense of the beautiful is sacrificed for the sake of
\nhuman worship and not offending. Well-done atheists, what a wonderful legacy.
