This Lion Lies with Fear.<\/p>\n<p>Samson is one of the strongest men that ever lived. He took on entire armies and won&#8230;. He beat a Lion with his bear hands&#8230; But!! The inner safari and inner jungle of lust and anger is what did him in. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0There was a huge cost to the death he carried around. \u00a0He lost his first wife in marriage. \u00a0He lost his eyes, his strength and his freedom when he is captured by the opposing army. He also lost his innocence, his purpose, and his God given destiny&#8230; \u00a0\u00a0Samson\u2019s whole life he feared that God\u2019s way was holding him back and keeping him from the \u201cgood stuff&#8230;\u2019 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0And that let his guard down and he was devoured by the Lion of Lies and Fear. \u00a0The Bible warns us about this kind of Lion.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The idea of a literally devil might be hard for you to believe, but about if I put in the word temptation, the phrase rings true. \u00a0\u00a0We better be sober and vigilant because our\u00a0adversary\u00a0 temptation is like a roaring lion seeking to devour you. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you and I were to go on a Safari and I told you that we\u2019d be wondering around Lion territory, we\u2019d approach life very different wouldn\u2019t be. \u00a0\u00a0We\u2019d be on guard for lions. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We\u2019d be ready to fight. We\u2019d have a healthy sense of soberness, or readiness or \u201cdanger\u201d about us.<\/p>\n<p>One of the greatest tools Lions use to hunt is fear. \u00a0\u00a0Often when Lions see prey in the wild. \u00a0\u00a0A giant Male Lion will get on one side of a field and ROAR!!! \u00a0That roar will strike fear into the prey and they will go running the opposite direction. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Hiding out on the other side of the field are\u00a0Lionesses\u00a0ready to pounce. \u00a0This Lion uses fear to get you running in one direction to entrap you in an ambush of\u00a0Lionesses. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Temptation uses fear in the same way.. .<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201dIf you believe in god, you\u2019ll be one of those hypocrites&#8230;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHow can you trust God, with all the suffering in the world?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cIf I don\u2019t get out of this marriage now, I\u2019m stuck in it forever&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I don\u2019t sleep with my boyfriend, he\u2019ll break up with me&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I don\u2019t fudge the numbers, we\u2019ll lose this big deal&#8230;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I tell people the kinds of things I struggle with, I\u2019ll be condemned&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t need help, I can stop whenever I want&#8230;\u201d<strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong>These are all statements of Fear. Lies from the Lying Lion. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This Lion is Dead. \u00a0\u00a0He is a Dead Carcass. A Zombie Lion. \u00a0he knows the only way to kill you is to lie to you with honey, or scare you with fear.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you defeat a zombie lion who is walking around, prowling around, trying to eat you? \u00a0\u00a0You need to be sober, vigilant..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Temptation is often describes as a Lion in the Bible. 1..
