Ten days ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/godometer\/2008\/04\/obamas-catholic-committee-the.html\">Obama launched a Catholic National Advisory Council<\/a>, comprising of dozens of senators, congressmen, and activists.<br \/>\n3. Obama has crisscrossed Pennsylvania with <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/godometer\/2008\/04\/qa-with-bob-casey-jr-obama-and.html\">Senator Bob Casey, Jr<\/a>., the state&#8217;s highest-ranking Catholic officeholder.<br \/>\n4. Obama&#8217;s campaign has helped <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/godometer\/2008\/04\/catholics-for-obama-organize-a.html\">organize Catholics to do public service<\/a> coinciding with the Pope&#8217;s visit to the United States.<br \/>\nBut a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/downloads\/20080420PAPoll.pdf\">McClatchy\/MSNBC\/Pittsburgh Post-Gazette poll<\/a> suggests that Obama doesn&#8217;t have much to show for his efforts. Among Catholics, Clinton leads 63-percent to 30-percent. McCain, meanwhile, leads nationally among Catholics, despite his controversial John Haggee endorsement and his anemic religious outreach, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/godometer\/2008\/04\/poll-mccain-winning-catholics.html\">according to another recent poll<\/a>.
