Never!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"romney14.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/211\/import\/romney14.jpg\" width=\"125\" \/>Echoing <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2008\/02\/18\/did-the-religious-rights-mistakes-make-mccain-inevitable\/\">Hot Air&#8217;s response<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/godometer\/2008\/02\/the-christian-right-nominated.html\">God-o-Meter&#8217;s op-ed<\/a> on the Christian Right&#8217;s failure to help its favored candidate, Mitt Romney, by candidly discussing his Mormonism, conservative <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renewamerica.us\/columns\/graham\/080219\">Idaho blogger Adam Graham<\/a> says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I&#8217;ve always looked at a person&#8217;s values, not their particular faith, in choosing a candidate.<br \/>\nThis is why I&#8217;m so offended at the suggestion of Dan Gilgoff in USA Today that the reason that Mitt Romney lost is because we Evangelicals just couldn&#8217;t bring ourselves to vote for a Mormon. I&#8217;ve followed the national conversation among Conservative Christians about Mitt Romney. Little of it centered on his Mormonism, much more on the fact of his shift on the issues.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>At the risk of being redundant, God-o-Meter again cites the recent analysis by the Pew Forum on Religion &amp; Public Life about <a href=\"http:\/\/pewforum.org\/docs\/?DocID=267\">evangelical hang-ups over Mormon candidates<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[T]he group of Americans most likely to say they value religiosity in a president &#8211; white evangelical Protestants &#8211; is also the group most apt to be bothered by his religion.
