Then he should adopt a conservative platform at the convention, and run a general election campaign that sounds conservative themes on taxes, terrorism, and values. If he does those things, he should be able to unite the party. If not, it will be difficult to rally the grassroots and win a highly competitive, close race in November.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>God-o-Meter&#8217;s follow up for Reed: any suggestions for McCain&#8217;s veep pick? Sure, Huck&#8217;s doing phenomenally well among evangelicals, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clubforgrowth.org\/2007\/11\/updated_huckabee_white_paper.php\">the anti-tax crowd<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/home\/daily\/site_011508\/content\/01125107.guest.html\">Rush Limbaugh<\/a>, along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20071130\/NATION\/111300094\/1001\">some anti-immigration advocates<\/a>, can&#8217;t stand him.
