“I think as people come to know my faith they’ll recognize that the values of my faith are \u2014 they very much flow from the Judeo-Christian tradition of this country. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in the equality of all humankind….”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But the more telling quote is this:<\/p>\n

“I think a very valid question to ask a person of faith is what are their values and how would those values inform their decision making and their presidency. … These values are very much a part of who I am and what will inform my presidency.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God-o-Meter points out that the issue Romney’s response cleverly sidesteps, and that many Americans want to hear him weigh in on, is not simply what the values he has as a “person of faith” and how those values inform his decision making, but rather how his Mormonism informs his values and decision making.<\/p>\n
