To<br \/>\nwhom sleep is a blessing that comes nightly, and brings nothing but<br \/>\nsweet dreams.&#8221;&nbsp; I wish I were among those people&#8211;although I&#8217;m not sure such folk actually exist, at least not every night.<\/p>\n<p>The fact is, sometimes we have bad dreams, whether because something&#8217;s weighing on your mind, something&#8217;s lurking in your unconscience, or some image got seared into your brain without your knowledge.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>So how do you chase away a bad dream?&nbsp; Some put up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dream-catchers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">dream catchers<\/a>, a beautiful Native American tradition that is meant to ensnare bad dreams before they can project on your sleeping brain&#8217;s big screen.&nbsp; Others take a less spiritual tack, and adopt <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/Health\/Quiz\/Sleep-quiz.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">better sleep hygiene<\/a> in an attempt to calm the synapses into sweet sleep.<\/p>\n<p>But this morning, I came across the sweetest idea on the always-amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/colormekatie.blogspot.com\/2009\/12\/rain.html\">Color Me Katie <\/a>blog.&nbsp; It seems she was having bad dreams, and decided that since rain always relaxes her, she&#8217;d create&#8211;with colored paper and tape, no less&#8211;a comforting rainscape on the wall behind her bed.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"RaindropWalls.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/84\/import\/RaindropWalls.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px;text-align: center\" height=\"333\" width=\"500\" \/><\/span>She reports no bad dreams since she put this up!&nbsp; Nice.&nbsp; Very nice.<\/p>\n<p>How do you chase away bad dreams?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/freshliving\/fresh-morning\/\"><b>Need more morning inspiration?&nbsp; Read our entire Fresh Morning collection!<\/b><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bram Stoker (you know, the author of Dracula), once said, &#8220;How blessed are some people, whose lives have no fears, no dreads.
