I came across this proverb that I’d never heard before:<\/p>\n

“No river can return to its source, yet all rivers must have a beginning.”<\/p>\n

Labor Day weekend, the official (if not celestial) end of summer, is a good time to think about endings and beginnings, isn’t it?  Especially since the back-to-school beginning crispness of fall contrasts so sharply with its place toward the end of the calendar.  In every ending is the beginning of something else.  And vice versa.<\/p>\n
