Actor and comedic legend Jerry Stiller best known for his roles on \u201cThe Kings of Queen\u201d and \u201cSeinfield,\u201d has passed away.<\/p>\n

The actor\u2019s son Ben Stiller took to Twitter to announce the passing of his father early Monday Morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller passed away from natural causes,\u201d his son Ben Stiller wrote on twitter. \u201cHe was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stiller studied drama at Syracuse University before the start of his acting career. His love for the arts not only led him to lead a fulfilling career, it also brought him the love of his life.\u00a0 Stiller and his wife of 62 years, Anne Meara, met at an agent\u2019s office before the launch of their comedy act.<\/p>\n

The New York Native spent many years as part of the comedy duo \u201cStiller and Meara\u201d with his wife. The duo led a successful comedy career in the 1960s and 70s, and frequently appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”In 1986 the duo even had their own TV sitcom called \u201cThe Stiller and Meara Show.\u201d Stiller lost his wife in 2015 and he later wrote an autobiography in 2000 titled \u201cMarried to Laughter,\u201d which discussed his 50-plus year marriage to his soulmate.<\/p>\n

In 1993 he landed the role of George Costanza\u2019s father on the 90s sitcom “Seinfield”. When the show went off air, Stiller began his role as Arthur Spooner on the comedy series \u201cThe King of Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n

The multi-talented performer also appeared in an array of movies such as \u201cHairspray,\u201d and \u201cThe Taking of Pelham One Two Three.\u201d He also \u00a0appeared on celebrity game shows and Broadway.<\/p>\n

Stiller is survived by his son, Actor Ben Stiller, and his daughter actress Amy Stiller, along with two grandchildren.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
