The sports world has lost a legend, but heaven has gained a faithful servant. Virginia McCaskey, the longtime owner of the Chicago Bears and one of the most respected figures in the NFL, has passed away at the age of 102.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

McCaskey, who took over the Bears’ ownership in 1983 following the death of her father, George Halas, lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and football. Her unwavering commitment to these three pillars guided her leadership of the Bears for over four decades.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Virginia McCaskey wasn’t just a pioneer in the sports world\u2014she was also a woman of deep faith. Throughout her life, she emphasized that faith was her foundation, shaping the way she led the Bears and interacted with those around her. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell captured her essence beautifully, saying, <\/span>“Faith, family, and football \u2013 in that order \u2013 were her north stars, and she lived by the simple adage to always ‘do the right thing.'”<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
