In an interview on \u201cToday,\u201d Patsy and Peggy Lynn discussed how faith was fundamental to their mother. During the appearance, Patsy said, \u201cNo matter what faith people have in their lives, my mom was a strong believer. It gave us hope to see her again and for her to know that she\u2019s going to see us again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Their comments come shortly after the release of Lynn\u2019s book, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Song-Prayer-Devotions-Inspired-Favorite-ebook\/dp\/B0BH4KG1JV\">A Song and A Prayer: 30 Devotions Inspired by My Favorite Songs<\/a>.\u201d According to the book\u2019s synopsis, the book is a collection of devotionals combined with song lyrics that bring a unique form of worship. The \u201cCoal Miner\u2019s Daughter\u201d singer wrote, \u201cHeaven must be the happiest place on earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peggy, Lynn\u2019s other daughter, added that their mother worked incredibly hard, even leading up to her death, pointing out, \u201cMom was one of those people who was working on several different things. She was still writing songs and all kinds of stuff. She just always had so many irons in the fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pasty remembered her mother\u2019s inspiring work ethic and how it showed through her legendary work, saying, \u201cCreativity is creativity, and no matter what, you never stop. Peggy and Patsy went on to say how they have been coping with their mother\u2019s death since her passing in October 2022.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A9mPA0MiCLk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Peggy expressed, \u201cWe\u2019re doing okay. You kind of have to go through these emotions and this journey. Patsy and Peggy said they baked their mother\u2019s favorite dessert, homemade banana pudding, and spent time with loved ones to honor Lynn on Mother\u2019s Day. Peggy shared, \u201cWhen all else failed, that\u2019s what we could get her to eat.\u201d Patsy continued, \u201cWe are from a big family. You surround yourself with family on those days that are hard; that\u2019s what gets you through it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Loretta Lynn was 90 years old when she died. At the time of her passing, a family statement read, \u201cOur precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills.\u201d Throughout Lynn\u2019s career, which spanned 60 years, she won every music award known to musicians and was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 1988.<\/p>\n<p>According to court records, Lynn married Oliver Lynn in 1948 at 15. The couple remained married for nearly 50 years before he died in 1996. They had six children: Betty, Jack, Ernest, Clara, then twins Peggy and Patsy.
