Friends, I received the casting call below from Stephanie Frasco<\/a>, who asked me to post it to the blog. The Discovery Channel is seeking a swashbuckling young exorcist type to co-host a documentary series on eeeeeee-vil. So if you dream of being on TV and have some personal experience with demons and exorcism (!), this may be your golden opportunity. <\/p>\n

Disclaimer: I know nothing more about this show than what is posted here. I don’t know if it has been greenlighted or is still in the dreaming stages. I suspect that its approach will be sensationalistic. But I thought I’d pass on the news in case any Flunking Sainthood<\/a> readers are interested in routinely chronicling the trials of folks whose heads rotate 360 degrees.<\/p>\n

“I am working on a show for the Discovery Channel<\/a> called Ancient Enemy<\/i>. This is a documentary series that will take a serious look into the subject of Evil. Basically, this show will follow a man by the name of Adam Blai <\/a>who is an exorcist assistant for the Catholic Church.<\/a> Adam travels the world educating priests and others about demonology – he is the only layman sanctioned by the church to do so. He also meets with various people throughout the world who feel that they may be experiencing demonic activity. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I am looking for a young (25-35years old) inquisitive person who some background, or real interest in this subject matter and is willing take this journey with Adam to research both historical and more recent cases of possession and infestation. This individual would be on camera and represent the eyes and ears of the audience.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This individual would need to have some background in religion and
\nhave an open mind to the possibility that real demons may actually exist
\nhere on earth. Perhaps, they or a family member has had an experience
\nwith this in the past. They could perhaps come from the world of documentary filmmaking, journalism, psychology, theology,
\nresearcher or a book writer. Preferably this person might have already
\nworked in this space. This person needs to be inquisitive, comfortable
\non camera, able to ask insightful questions and have a true interest and
\ndesire to explore this subject matter.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n
