The interview was part of the &#8220;Five Good Answers&#8221; tradition he has on his blog every Friday, where he has talked to <a href=\"http:\/\/mattlitton.com\/2011\/02\/04\/five-good-answers-with-author-speaker-and-activist-brian-d-mclaren\/\">Brian McLaren<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/mattlitton.com\/2011\/02\/25\/five-good-answers-with-author-speaker-radio-personality-and-pastor-doug-pagitt\/\">Doug Pagitt<\/a> and others. <\/p>\n<p>It was an honor to be included, and a good excuse to think more deeply about the projects I&#8217;m in the middle of &#8212; Flunking Sainthood the book is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paracletepress.com\/\">at press <\/a>and will be released in November, and I&#8217;m near the halfway point for <a href=\"http:\/\/content.usatoday.com\/communities\/Religion\/post\/2009\/12\/conservative-bible-twible-twitter\/1\">the Twible project<\/a>. These are busy and fun times for me professionally, but life has been so crazy lately that it was a helpful reminder to think aloud about why I love being a writer.
