Have you ever thought you might get a great project off the ground in your community — “if you only had the money<\/font><\/b>?” Well the Pepsi Refresh Project<\/a> is giving away millions of dollars in grants in 2010 to individuals, not-for-profits and socially-conscious businesses that are interested in doing good. The Refresh Project’s “How it Works” site<\/a> describes the process like this:<\/p>\n

1) Submissions will be accepted from January 13th through the 24th, or until we receive 1,000 ideas, whichever comes first.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n


<\/span><\/font><\/div>\n

2) Voting on accepted submissions takes place throughout the month of February. If your idea was not accepted in January, you can try again February 1st.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n


<\/span><\/font><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

3) Ideas chosen by users to receive grants will be announced at the end of the month. Then the whole process starts over.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Up to 10 awards per month will be granted in each of $5,000, $25,000 and $50,000 increments as will two awards of $250.000. Grants will be funded based upon voting,  so applicants need to be ready to get their ideas out there. I would love to offer this space to anyone who submits an idea so we can learn more about it and possibly vote to support the ideas of members of this community. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Grant categories include: health, arts and culture, food and shelter, the planet, neighborhoods and education.
