Be willing to have the truth, your truth Lovingly blossom. \u00a0Keep your eyes attune to the whispers on the wind listening to what’s required for your soul’s growth and allow love’s vision to reveal and expand the truth.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow many more times is (fill in the blank and it isn\u2019t pretty) going to happen before I stand up for myself. Before I tell the truth. How many more times will a pattern repeat until I am ready to do things differently?\u201d As Will Rogers said \u201cdon\u2019t do the same thing and expect a different result. Do things differently. Get different results.\u201d<\/p>\n
My own personal Codependent people pleasing trauma played itself out in so many ways that I never understood consciously. \u00a0 To leave or not to leave. \u00a0To act or not to act. To be or not to be. To do or not to do is an everyday mental pretzel twister. \u00a0In the end it is an act of faithfulness. \u00a0To say I was very in touch with my Codependent self doesn\u2019t do it justice. It was so ingrained I didn\u2019t even know what codependent meant. I was deluded into thinking I had a handle everything. When I finally attended an Al Anon meeting I saw clearly what my issue was in spades….<\/p>\n
\u201cHow many more animals are going to need to die before I\u2019m ready to speak my truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
A young woman cried as she told the story of leaving her beloved cat with her drug addict Sister to take care of when she went away for a business trip only to return to find the cat run over by a car when her sister inadvertently had left the front door open.<\/p>\n
In each story in the circle, worse, more destructive, than the last of letting, enabling, unfortunate behavior. \u00a0As each person spoke, I heard\u2026 \u201cHere\u2019s what that person needs to do.\u201d \u201cIf they try this they will solve that.\u201d \u201cThey should call so and so\u2026\u201d My face got hot. Wait a minute. I didn\u2019t know these people, on what planet did I think I could help them, know what is best for them.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh. My. Goodness.\u201d<\/p>\n
That is my addiction. \u00a0Allowing a lie to play out and practicing the same behavior hoping things would change. \u00a0It isn’t a surprise they never did.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Codependency is a big cosmic joke to remind you who you truly are. When you feel the pull it\u2019s a reminder to own the truth. To paraphrase Judith Orloff \u00a0‘stop the codependent reaction and action and fully own your intuition.’ Stop being co-dependent. Stop thinking if the other person is okay, then I will be okay. Stop thinking if I help them then they will help me. Stop.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That is what co-dependency is, an empathic feeling that you know something will help another person and they are not whole unique individuals with all the tools to take care of themselves. Everyone\u2019s internal guidance system is designed to provide the answer appropriate to the individuals circumstance<\/p>\n
Do yourself and your community a favor and break the chains of any fear or addiction and remember the truth about who you are and what Love is and means.<\/p>\n
Practice patience in your heart, take a beat and let love wash through the situation in front of you and wait for it to transform. \u00a0Watch the miracle unfold as love changes your vision. \u00a0As ACIM says the truth is in claiming the life you want, stepping into it and through the Dante’s hell of patterns that are not changing.<\/p>\n
Flip the switch, ignite the field, walk into the light of truth. As a friend of mine likes to say \u201cdon\u2019t settle for the mild river of misery.\u201d Become a tuning device allowing love to flow through you and radiate from you expanding outward without reserve as you take the next step designed for your greatest good. \u00a0 Hold a vision for yourself that resonates to your bones that fills each moment with safety and gentle cherishing of your mission and purpose and the deepest plan for your life.<\/p>\n
Martin Luther King Jr. stated your life begins to end on the day you stop talking about the things that matter most. \u00a0Let go of the lies in your beliefs that are holding you hostage and live the truth. \u00a0Talk about the life you want to inhabit as\u00a0if your very life depended on it.<\/p>\n
May you see with your heart and be able to recognize the truth in every situation you encounter with vision of the the heart made manifest in the presence of love.<\/p>\n
In this life filled exercise in living in the truth standing in integrity Love will always break through.<\/p>\n
