But this morning I stumbled upon a report from Religion Today<\/em> <\/a>which I found interesting in light of my church small group’s conversation yesterday around prayer and learning to trust God in hard times.<\/p>\n

One-third of Americans increase their trust in God in times of suffering, a recent study by LifeWay Research finds, according to a report by Baptist Press. Notably, nearly six in 10 Americans (57 percent) agree with the statement, “When a natural disaster occurs, my interest in God increases.” “30 percent of Americans post on social media that they are praying for specific people or things, and almost 60 percent of Americans donate to relief agencies in the wake of natural disasters,” the Religion Today<\/em> article concludes.<\/p>\n
