My procrastination has finally lost the battle: this morning I’m sorting through a couple hundred mailing addresses as part of an approximately biannual routine- the Dover family Christmas card.<\/p>\n
The Dover family Christmas card is always fun to write and much less fun to send out.<\/p>\n
This year, if Elaine of Seinfeld’s<\/em> accidental show of boob did not make the photo cut, a very blonde, <\/em>typically brunette husband did, thanks to his regular, unsuspecting use of my John Frieda-for-blonde-highlights shampoo products. \u00a0He looks a bit like a) he’s training for the Mr. Universe pageant, b) a Swedish masseur, or c) is the next Bond villain.<\/p>\n And then there were all of the multiple takes for one family photo that would do. \u00a0We all sat precariously hovered on some jagged rocks by a waterfall on a recent hike, while Dad positioned the camera, then ran to join the rest of the smiling crew waiting for the blinking red light to flash.<\/p>\n There was the one shot of Sam looking like she’d rather be at the dentist, or of Cam squinting, or of Mom checking her hair, or of Dad in mid squat.<\/p>\n It was a hoot.<\/p>\n So, since this morning you all have unfortunately taken a backseat to the Dover family Christmas card, which as you can tell has a life of its own, I thought I’d leave you with some more music. \u00a0Here’s another of my favorite British boy bands, Keane, singing “Love Is The End,” a song about love, rebirth and restoration:<\/p>\n
