Is Dunkin&#8217; Donuts the key to <a href=\"\u201cYou shall not oppress a stranger, for you know the feelings of the stranger, having yourselves been strangers in the land of Egypt.\u201d\">interfaith harmony<\/a>?<br \/>\n<strong>Faster Trend of the Year<\/strong>.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Feiler_Faster_Thesis\">Feiler Faster Thesis<\/a> is having a boom month.  It&#8217;s been used to explain the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2178626\/nav\/fix\/\">election<\/a>.  And <a href=\"http:\/\/community.livejournal.com\/ohnotheydidnt\/18803207.html\">Britney Spears<\/a>!<br \/>\n<strong>Turnabout of the Year<\/strong>.  Even the Right is now advocating what we&#8217;ve been endorsing all year on Feiler Faster:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ips.org\/blog\/jimlobe\/?p=85\">Talk to Iran<\/a>.<br \/>\nAnd a few more items that caught my eye recently.  The pastor of the Methodist Church across where I attended synagogue in Savannah wrote a thoughtful piece about <a href=\"http:\/\/savannahnow.com\/node\/419262\">wise men <\/a>and Christmas that included some nice words about me.<br \/>\nFor readers of <a href=\"http:\/\/brucefeiler.com\/books\/where_god.html\">WHERE GOD WAS BORN <\/a>who have been wondering about what&#8217;s going on inside the Baghdad Museum, which I toured in the months after the invasion, the NYT has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/12\/12\/world\/middleeast\/12iraq.html?_r=1&amp;hp&amp;oref=slogin\">rare peek<\/a> inside.<br \/>\nAnd the NYT has picked up on another theme of that book:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/11\/28\/us\/28minyan.html?hp\">Make-your-own-faith<\/a>.<br \/>\nFinally, please come back in January when I report back on the winner of my annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brucefeiler.com\/blog\/2007\/01\/william-wants-doll.html\">Predictions Game<\/a> with my brother and unveil my picks for this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year Everyone, I&#8217;ll be on the road over the holidays, and taking time to finish the draft of my new book, so in the meantime, here are a few end-of-the-year awards.
