I can\u2019t imagine people really wanting to read them, and yet I can\u2019t seem to get myself to return to talking about interesting ideas and processing thoughts until I adress in some way the fact that It\u2019s been another couple months since I\u2019ve posted anything at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ryangaffney.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Travel-Selfie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Travel Selfie\" style=\"border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;background-image: none;border-bottom: 0px;float: right;padding-top: 0px;padding-left: 0px;border-left: 0px;padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Travel Selfie\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ryangaffney.com\/wordpress\/2016\/11\/Travel-Selfie_thumb.jpg\" width=\"362\" align=\"right\" height=\"208\" \/><\/a>I have a good excuse. I got married. And I moved, and I graduated with a Masters Degree, and I Bought a car, planted a church, left two jobs, and traveled to California, Florida, and California again. I\u2019ve been BUSY.    <\/p>\n<p>In the midst of al of that the finish line has been running away from me.    <\/p>\n<p>I wrote in my last meta-post that this blog may be coming to an end. It\u2019s really about my preparation for ministry, and I was thinking I\u2019d ordained and installed by not. Nope. There are more hoops, more complications, more obsticles.    <\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m trying to be medatative about that reality, and think deeply about the fact that ten years ago I considered myself a minister, and everything I have done since then has only made me feel like more of a chatecumin. Maybe the journey never ends. Maybe i will never feel to myself like a \u201creal\u201d pastor.<\/p>\n<p>But I have people in my life now who are calling me Pastor. I\u2019ve been preaching regularly for years now. When that finish line does come I don\u2019t know what it\u2019ll look like anymore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s that time again.
