But instead of merely apologizing humbly and moving on, Stewart spent  most of the segment highlighting false claims made by Fox News over the  years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Tracy Morgan&#8217;s public apology for anti-gay tirade. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Tracy Morgan speaks out in support of LGBT people in Nashville\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LG56TKa-fsE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong> Okay, Tracy Morgan is sorry and that&#8217;s good. What he said in his supposed comedy act was wrong. But I still haven&#8217;t heard Morgan apologize for this:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Tracy Morgan on TNT Pre-Game Show &quot;Sarah Palin is good masturbation material&quot;\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bBIh04-I-iQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In fact, not only did Morgan not apologize for\u00a0 his dehumanizing remark, he compounded it a few day later.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2011\/01\/31\/tracy-morgan-sarah-palin-_1_n_816174.html\">The Huffington Post<\/a> reported the follow-up incident:<\/p>\n<p>A<em>ppearing on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on  Sunday night, Tracy Morgan had some interesting praise for Palin, which  he tacked on at the end of an interview, apropos of nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Sarah Palin, you&#8217;re the hottest MILF in the world,&#8221; he shouted out,  confusing his interviewer. Perhaps she shouldn&#8217;t have been so bewildered  &#8212; this was the second time in a week that Morgan called out Palin for  her looks.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>On Thursday night, Morgan was the guest on TNT&#8217;s NBA pre-game show, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2011\/01\/27\/tracy-morgan-sarah-palin-_n_815222.html\" target=\"_hplink\">when asked to settle the hosts&#8217; dispute over Tina Fey vs. Palin<\/a>,  Morgan responded: &#8220;Now let me tell you something about Sarah Palin man,  she&#8217;s good masturbation material. The glasses and all that? Great  masturbation material.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>TNT later apologized, but clearly, Morgan felt no remorse.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment continued:<\/strong> I also, BTW, don&#8217;t recall <em>30 Rock&#8217;<\/em>s Tina Fey or NBC issuing statements condemning Morgan&#8217;s unseemly remarks about Palin. Everyone, including gays and conservative Republican women, deserves basic respect. \u00a0 <em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Atheists blast street sign honoring 9\/11 heroes. <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brooklynpaper.com\/stories\/34\/25\/dtg_seveninheaven_2011_06_17_bk.html\">From The Brooklyn Paper<\/a>: <em>To honor seven dead 9-11 firefighters, a portion of Richards Street has  been ceremonially renamed \u201cSeven in Heaven Way\u201d \u2014 prompting tributes to  the heroes and complaints from critics who say that the government  should not be in the business of advancing one religion\u2019s notion of the  afterlife&#8230;Local atheists also insisted that public signs should be non-sectarian.  \u201cIt falls under the umbrella of Church and state,\u201d added Ken Bronstein  of NYC Atheists&#8230;.<\/em>\u201cThey are heroes and should be rewarded in a place like heaven,\u201d said  Tom Miskel of Community Board 6, which unanimously supported the name  change in December 2009. <em>\u201cAlmost every religion has some form of heaven,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s not just specific to Christianity.\u201d The \u201cSeven in Heaven\u201d firemen \u2014 Joseph Gullickson, Brian Cannizzaro,  Salvatore Calabro, Thomas Kennedy, Patrick Byrne, Joseph Maffeo, and  Terence McShane \u2014 were among the first firefighters called to the  towers, making it there before the second airplane hit.<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>IMHO:<\/strong> This kind of  in-your-face atheism is just plain nasty. And, besides, clearly America has a tradition of not being so nit-picky over names with religious connotations. What&#8217;s next? Are we to rename cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles? <em><\/em><\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>No <em>Entourage<\/em> for Anthony Weiner.<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boomtron.com\/2011\/06\/anthony-weiner-on-entourage-season-8\/\">From Boomtron<\/a>: <em>When the whole Charlie Sheen thing was big news, Entourage creator Doug Ellin wanted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boomtron.com\/2011\/06\/2011\/05\/charlie-sheen-in-entourage\/\">Sheen to make a cameo<\/a> on the show\u2019s eighth season. Now in a similar fashion, there\u2019s a rumor going around that Ellin offered New York politician, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/anthony-weiner-approached-cameo-entourage-202574\">Anthony Weiner<\/a>, the same kind of gig. Weiner recently stepped down from office after posting photos of his junk on twitter&#8230;But wait! <a href=\"http:\/\/marquee.blogs.cnn.com\/2011\/06\/17\/hustler-wants-weiner-entourage-not-so-much\/\">Ellin recently told CNN<\/a> that the reports of Weiner\u2019s cameo were completely false. \u201cIt\u2019s not  true,\u201d said Ellin to CNN. Maybe Weiner wasn\u2019t the kind of guy Ellin  wanted on Entourage after all. Since he\u2019s now unemployed, Weiner could have used the job. But the story\u2019s not over yet&#8230;.While the cameo might have been a fake story, Weiner did get a legit job offer from the one and only Hustler Magazine&#8230;.The job would be working on the company\u2019s Internet division and include a 20 percent increase on his previous salary.<\/em><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6. <em><\/em><strong><em>Lost<\/em> reunion on <em>Hawaii Five-O<\/em>. <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/tv\/column-post\/terry-oquinn-lands-another-grueling-acting-gig-hawaii-28451\">From The Wrap<\/a>: <em>&#8220;Lost&#8221; alum <a href=\"http:\/\/thegrid.itsonthegrid.com\/PeopleDetail?id=00380000017EUrfAAG\" target=\"_blank\">Terry O&#8217;Quinn<\/a>,  who played Locke on the series, has landed a major recurring role on  CBS&#8217;s revamp of &#8220;Hawaii 5-0&#8221; &#8212; which, like &#8220;Lost,&#8221; is filmed in Hawaii&#8230;In addition to giving O&#8217;Quinn yet another gig in a tropical locale, the  &#8220;Hawaii 5-0&#8221; stint will reunite the actor with fellow &#8220;Lost&#8221; alum Daniel  Dae Kim, who plays Chin Ho Kelly on the series.
