Yellow Day<\/i>, a highly-anticipated debut film from Providence Film Partners, will release in select theaters Christmas 2015.\u00a0<\/strong> The only faith-based and family film this holiday, Yellow Day<\/i> is a movie parents and kids can enjoy together.\u00a0 It is wildly imaginative and fun, beautifully blending high-quality animation and live action, and based on true stories of how God\u2019s grace changes people\u2019s lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yellow Day<\/i> chronicles a young man’s life-changing journey through the Yellow Day<\/em>, a miraculous day where the world is revealed as seen through the eyes of God.\u00a0 On this day, the young man witnesses astonishing miracles, each one teaching a lesson in faith, hope, or love.\u00a0 This man must learn from these miracles and confront his fears, if he is to complete his journey and be reunited with his lost love.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Yellow Day\u2019s<\/i> powerful true stories come from Camp Grace, an actual camp in Mobile, Alabama, where much of the movie takes place.\u00a0It was Krisanna Roberts, a real Camp Grace camper, whose incredible spirit, creative nature, and true story inspired Yellow Day\u2019s <\/i>title. <\/i>\u00a0At fifteen years old, Krisanna, who battled cancer all her life, found she only had six months left to live.\u00a0 For these remaining months, the doctors asked her to name a color for days she felt well.\u00a0 She chose yellow.\u00a0 Her remaining days were almost completely \u201clived in yellow,\u201d and she was known for wishing others a \u201cbright sunshiny yellow day.\u201d A \u201cYellow Day\u201d is not a day where everything goes right, but a day when one chooses grace and joy no matter what happens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Krisanna\u2019s \u201cbright sunshiny yellow day\u201d is just one of many true stories featured in Yellow Day<\/i>.\u00a0 The other powerful stories come from incredible people in the special needs, chronic illness, and domestic abuse communities.\u00a0 The result is a film rich in lessons for children on subjects that are potentially delicate and even hard to discuss.\u00a0 Yellow Day<\/i> provides an opening for parents to talk about these issues with their children in a compelling and meaningful way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Yellow Day<\/i> was produced by a community helping meet the demand for imaginative, positive, and affirming family entertainment.\u00a0 The film was produced out of Mobile, Alabama, with participation from hundreds of volunteers in the church and charitable communities, coming together with the desire to provide something good.\u00a0 Yellow Day<\/i> was funded by a business-faith community, who above all, wanted a quality production to give healing to our culture.<\/span><\/p>\n
