Fortunately, their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.koco.com\/money\/no-notoriety-campaign-to-not-name-mass-murderers-sees-progress\/35627080\" target=\"_blank\">pleas may finally be having an impact<\/a>. Here&#8217;s what they want:<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 NO NOTORIETY CHALLENGE TO THE MEDIA<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Limit the name and likeness of the individual\u00a0from reporting after\u00a0initial identification, except when the alleged assailant is still at large and in doing so would aid in the assailant\u2019s capture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Refuse to broadcast\/publish photos and\/or self-serving\u00a0statements made by the individual. Elevate the names and likenesses of all victims killed to send the message their lives are more important than the killer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognize that the prospect of infamy could serve as a motivating factor for other individuals to kill others and could inspire copycat crimes. \u00a0Keep this responsibility in mind when reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Agree to promote data and analysis from experts in mental health, public safety, and other relevant professions to\u00a0support further steps to help eliminate the motivation behind mass murder. Recognize that the individual\u2019s name and likeness is irrelevant to media coverage of such acts unless the alleged assailant is at large.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1444051096550_2341\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1444051096550_2351\" class=\"yiv3758176532e2ma-style\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1444051096550_2350\" class=\"yiv3758176532e2ma-style\"><strong>Good works.<\/strong> In partnership with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) K-LOVE will send 40 nutritious MannaPack rice meals for every EZ $40 gift given during K-LOVE\u2019s Fall pledge drive from October 6-16, 2015.
