My favourite memory will always be Julie Andrews singing “The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Music”<\/strong>…the magical opening that set the scene for the most incredible film ever made and one whose sheen will never fade. On a recent trip to Munich, I traversed to Salzburg and was shown the actual hill where she sang that decades ago! It was surreal!<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I totally love “The Sound of Music” because I love the whole family! I buy all sorts of books that were written by the cast members. I have book written by Maria Von Trapp<\/strong>, the mother. I have a book written by Liesl<\/strong>, the oldest daughter. I have a book written by the father– about his life in a submarine.\u00a0I’ve been to Salzburg so I know where the movie was made. I bought the book on “The Sound of Music” in Salzburg! <\/em><\/em>We took a tour of where all the Trapp family members are buried. The tour was given by one of the great grandchildren. I went to the 50th anniversary of “The Sound of Music” at Barnes & Noble<\/strong>! One of my favorite songs is “Edelweiss”<\/strong>. In fact, I have a piece of edelweiss hanging in my kitchen. I totally love “Edelweiss”! That’s one of my favorite songs!\u00a0 I saw the play revival on Broadway. Of course, I’ve seen the movie many times! <\/em>I’m a super “Sound of Music” fan!\u00a0<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n
