The Dream Lives On.<\/strong> Grammy<\/strong>-nominated and five-time Dove Award-<\/strong>winning Female Artist of the Year Natalie Grant<\/strong> will perform today at the 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary \u201cLet Freedom Ring\u201d Commemoration and Call to Action<\/strong> event at the Lincoln Memorial<\/strong>. The event, commemorating the historic speech delivered by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.<\/strong> will also feature performances by pop music artist LeAnn Rimes<\/strong> and Gospel R&B singer BeBe Winans<\/strong>. Also appearing will be Oprah Winfrey<\/strong> and Forest Whitaker<\/strong>, both of whom are currently starring in the hit civil rights-themed film Lee Daniels’ The Butler <\/em><\/strong>and actor Jamie Foxx<\/strong> and, perhaps most notably, Rep. John Lewis<\/strong>, who spoke at the original March on Washington<\/strong> in 1963.<\/p>\n President Barack Obama<\/strong> and former Presidents Bill Clinton<\/strong> and Jimmy Carter<\/strong> will deliver remarks and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s call to \u201cLet freedom ring\u201d by ringing bells at 3:00 p.m. EDT, a half-century to the very minute after Dr. King delivered his historic address.\u00a0 Groups across the country will also pause to mark the 50th anniversary of Dr. King\u2019s speech by ringing bells at 3:00 p.m. EDT.<\/p>\n TV journalist Soledad O’Brien<\/strong> and actor\/author Hill Harper<\/strong> with emcee the event which will place from 11:00 a.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m. ET at the Lincoln Memorial.<\/p>\n In noting the importance of today’s commemoration, King Center C.E.O. Bernice A.
