With a second telecast factored in, &#8220;The Bible&#8221; averaged 14.8 million total viewers for the night, with 5 million of them in the advertiser-preferred 18-49 demographic and 5.6 million of them in the 25-54 demo.<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>Comment:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zap2it.com\/tv\/ratings\/\">Zap2It reports<\/a> <em>The Bible<\/em> topped the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zap2it.com\/frominsidethebox\/2013\/03\/tv-ratings-celebrity-apprentice-way-down-and-red-widow-opens-softly-sunday.html\">Sunday nights ratings<\/a>, including all cable <em>and<\/em> broadcast shows. That means <em>The Bible<\/em> beat<em> 60 Minutes<\/em> (CBS), <em>The Amazing Race<\/em> (CBS), <em>Once Upon a Time<\/em> (ABC), <em>The Simpsons<\/em> (Fox), <em>Family Guy<\/em> (Fox), <em>The Good Wife<\/em> (CBS), <em>The Mentalist<\/em> (CBS), Celebrity Apprentice (NBC) and the series premiere of ABC&#8217;s <em>Red Widow<\/em>. <em>The Bible<\/em> was also notably strong in the 18-49 demo. An estimated 2.5 million people in that advertiser-pursued age group tuned in.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/Big-Hollywood\/2013\/03\/04\/history-channel-bible-big-ratings\">Big Hollywood notes<\/a>, those numbers make the debut of the Mark Burnett-Roma Downey-produced History Channel miniseries the highest-rated cable entertainment program thus far in 2013. It even beat last month&#8217;s mid-season season premiere <em>The Walking Dead<\/em> which an <a href=\"http:\/\/insidetv.ew.com\/2013\/02\/11\/the-walking-dead-record-rating\/\">Entertainment Weekly headline<\/a> blared to have garnered &#8220;jaw-dropping record ratings.&#8221;\u00a0 Yes,<em> Dead<\/em> drew a sizable total audience of 12.3 million viewers &#8212; two million fewer people than are estimated to have watched <em>The Bible<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Let there be no doubt about the power of faith. The networks should wise up.<\/p>\n<iframe title=\"THE BIBLE - Extended Look\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wir4fH6hUxw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p><strong><em>Family Addition<\/em> added to GMC TV schedule.<\/strong> The network of &#8220;Uplifting Entertainment&#8221; has begun production on <em>Family Addition,\u00a0<\/em>a new reality series hosted by Leigh Anne Tuohy whose real-life story inspired Sandra Bullock&#8217;s hit film <em>The Blind Side<\/em>. Produced by Tremendous! Entertainment, each episode of the inspirational show will follow different families as they make the ultimate commitment to open up their hearts and add a new member or members to their family.<\/p>\n<p>Tuohy, who will provide the series\u2019 creative vision and oversee the home improvement projects for each episode, says she&#8217;s doing the show because \u201cThere are so many unsung heroes in communities across America who demonstrate unconditional love and support by taking on the responsibility of fostering and then adopting children in their care&#8230;These are life changing, emotional situations that can be overwhelming.\u00a0 In<em> Family Addition<\/em> we help to break down walls if necessary to help families deal with the changes they experience and to help ensure that ultimately each child has an opportunity to have a family and a place where they feel loved, valued and accepted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to partner with the indomitable Leigh Anne Tuohy who is a proven champion for those in need<em>,<\/em>\u201d and to work with Tremendous!
