And, like the movies and DVDs the group evaluates, the books will also be eligible to receive its highly-valued \u201cFamily Approved\u201d seal.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>There&#8217;s a business savvy reason for the move. \u201cWe\u2019ve always tried to respond to the market demand for our services,\u201d says Dove CEO Dick Rolfe, \u201cand we began moving in the direction of books by reviewing movie screenplays from writers who were looking for our endorsement as a means of attracting producers and investors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After being contacted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbaonline.org\/nm\/aboutcba.htm\">The CBA<\/a> in 2010, Dove created a task force that resulted in the addition of \u201cFaith Friendly\u201d and \u201cFaith Based\u201d seals to identify films that contain religious content. Soon Dove started receiving requests from movie producers to review novelizations and supplementary books attached to their films.\u00a0 The organization was, for example, asked to review five books based on <a href=\"http:\/\/sherwoodpictures.com\/sample-page\/courageous\/\">Sherwood Pictures&#8217; <em>Courageous<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Courageous<\/em> producer <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alex_Kendrick\">Alex Kendrick<\/a> says \u201cJust as we valued Dove\u2019s \u2018Family Approved\u2019 seal for our film, we wanted readers of the various books associated with <em>Courageous<\/em> to have the same level of confidence.\u201d Kendrick also co-wrote, directed and starred in the film and co-wrote the novelization, as well.<\/p>\n<p>What followed were discussions with several publishers who made Dove aware of the need for family-centered reviews of books, especially teen and young adult novels and children\u2019s books.<\/p>\n<p>As Dove Client Services Director Scott Rolfe tells it \u201cWe trained a team of skilled book reviewers and an editor in Dove\u2019s unique review process&#8230;Now we have the infrastructure in place to handle the increased demand from publishers, authors and agents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dove has already published reviews of more than 100 books and manuscripts to date. Additionally, the foundation has retooled its <a href=\"http:\/\/updates.milkmoneypromotions.com\/manager\/link.php?M=944827&amp;N=907&amp;L=1604&amp;F=H\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> to include a new books<em> <\/em>category alongside theatrical and DVD reviews.<\/p>\n<p>The Dove Foundation reaches an estimated one-million online viewers through\u00a0<a id=\"yui_3_7_2_1_1358332858674_4567\" href=\"http:\/\/updates.milkmoneypromotions.com\/manager\/link.php?M=944827&amp;N=907&amp;L=1604&amp;F=H\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">www.dove.org<\/a>\u00a0and several syndication partners\u2019 websites.
